Teachers’ memo to DEO

BHAKTAPUR: All Nepal Teachers' Union (ANTU) today submitted 11-point memorandum to District Education Office (DEO), Bhaktapur, demanding immediate implementation of the report submitted by the task force formed by the Ministry of Education.

It has demanded the government to introduce provision of providing appointment letters for teachers in privates schools.

The ANTU’s other demands include management of relief quota teachers in community schools in a proportional and exclusive manner, consultation with professional bodies before taking decisions on approval for new schools, scholarship distribution, informal education and other educational programs.

They have also demanded guarantee of services and facilities to private source teachers and end to the practice of appointing teachers on daily wage basis.
