Technology that ‘fights’ crime
Kathmandu, March 7:
Twins Ram Rimal and Laxman Rimal today claimed to have developed a new technology, which can help locals control crimes and prevent accidents.
Ram Rimal said, “We have developed a technology - Community Security Service. We believe it is the most appropriate and suitable device through which people can exchange information about crimes or accidents taking place in the community immediately.
The twins made this claim at a press conference today.
“By using this device, two thieves were caught at the Kuleshwor residential area while they were trying to steal household items from a house on March 3,” Rimal said. He said that different types of sirens have been developed and installed in 10 communities in Kathmandu. Laxman said: “This device can work with the back-up of battery even when there is a power outage.”
“Currently, the siren covers half a mile, but we can increase the capacity of the siren if the area to be covered is bigger.
