KATHMANDU: The security personnel at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) on Sunday arrested a teenager on the charge of possessing undeclared gold and foreign currency, from Golden Gate area.

The arrested has been identified as Dhiraj Mahato (19) of Janakpur Sub-metropolitan City-7 in Dhanusha district.

The security personnel confiscated 49 grams of undeclared gold and Qatar Riyal 740 from the possession of Mahato who was about to take a flight to another country.

Arrestee Mahato was handed over to TIA Customs Office, Gauchar for further investigation into the case, informed TIA Security Office, Gauchar.
