KATHMANDU: Property worth around Rs 305,000 were stolen from a room in  Baudha Naya Basti of Gokarneshwor Municipality-6 in Kathmandu district on Thursday.

According to police, an unidentified gang broke into the rented room of Dil Maya Tamang of Udaypur district and made off with Rs 30,000 cash and gold jewelleries weighing five tolas.

In the similar incident, police reported a theft case from a house in Balkhu of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14 on Thursday.

According to police, an unidentified gang entered the house belonging to Bimal Prasad Gupta (36) of Rajpur Municipality-1 of Rautahat district and decamped with cash and gold jewelleries worth around Rs 120,000.

Meanwhile, local police are investigating further into the cases, said police.
