KATHMANDU: Property worth around Rs 155,000 were stolen from a rented room in Balkhu of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14 on Tuesday.

According to police, an unidentified gang broke into a rented room belonging to Mala Thapa Magar hailing from Likhasu in Sindhupalchowk and made off with cash and various gold jewellery.

Meanwhile, a search is on for the absconding perpetrators, police said.
