Theft cases reported from Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Police reported a theft from an electronic shop in Birendra Chok of Kageshwori Manahara Municipality-7 in Kathmandu district on Monday night.

An unidentified group broke the roller shutter gate and entered into the shop operated by Tekraj Shiwakoti of Sunakhani in Dolakha district and made off with 21 mobile phone set worth around Rs 120,000.

Likewise, Property worth around Rs 115,000 were stolen from a room in Shankhamul Bigyanmarg of KMC-31 on Monday.

According to police, an unidentified gang broke into the rented room of Chinimaya Pakhrin of Janakpur Sub Metropolitan City in Dhanusha district and made off with gold jewelleries and Rs 15,000 cash from the unattended room.

Meanwhile, the investigation into both cases are underway and the search is on for the perpetrators, said police.
