Thefts reported in Kathmandu
KATHMANDU: Valuable jewellery items and cash were stolen from a rented room on the third floor of a four-storey house belonging to Tsering Sherpa at Tinchule in Bouddha area, KMC-6 on Friday.
According to police, unidentified persons made off with the gold jewellery and Rs 50,000 in cash from the room of the tenant identified as Tibetan, Sanden Dokar yesterday.
In a separate incident, various jewellery items and Rs 233,750 cash were stolen from a rented room on the ground floor of a house belonging to Prem Dhwaj Sherpa in Besigaun of Gokarneshwar Municipality-15 in Kathmandu, on Friday.
Unidentified persons made off with valuables and cash from the room of the tenant Uttar Dhwaj Khatri, a permanent resident of Dhap-4 in Sindhupalchok district.
Meanwhile, police have launched the search operation to find the culprits involved in the thefts.
