Thieves target tenants' rooms in Tarakeshwor

KATHMANDU: Valuables were stolen from two rented rooms at Subhakamana Chok, Tarakeshwor Municipality-19 of Kathmandu on Friday.

The unidentified thieves reportedly broke into the rented room of Narayan Manandhar, a local of Upasarung in Dhadhing district, and made off with property worth Rs 84,000 including gold jewellery weighing one tola and Rs 30,000 cash.

Meanwhile, another tenant of the same house, Sadin Dhakal of Saurapani-3, Gorkha had his room burgled and Rs 35,000 cash stolen.

The absconding thieves are being searched, said police.

Police are investigating further into the case.
