KATHMANDU: Three people have been arrested in possession of fake Indian currencies with face value of IRs 3,33,000 from Kathmandu.

The counterfeit currencies are of denomination of IRs 1,000, police said.

Police identified one of the suspects as Mira Jurel (25) of Jiri-9, Dolakha.

The trio were arrested during security check in Maharajgunj, Budhanilkantha and Ring Road areas, police said.

Police said they are looking into the case.
