Three cases of thefts reported in Valley

Kathmandu, September 22:

Three cases of thefts have been registered in the Kathmandu District Police Office, Hanumandhoka in the last 24-hours, police said today.

Property worth Rs 79,000 was stolen from the house of Sanomaya Khatri at Mana Mohantole, Khadga Bhadrakali-7, Kathmandu last evening. According to the police, unidentified thieves entered the house and made away with Rs 25,000 and golden jewellery from the house when nobody was in the house.

At Galphutar, unidentified thieves made away with property worth Rs 242,000 from the house of Binod Sharma yesterday evening. The police said that the thieves entered through the maingate of the house and made away with cash and valuables amounting to Rs 242,000.

A brief-case containing Indian Rs 20,000 was reported to have stolen from Nandan Restaurant at Pyukha, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-24. According to the FIR filed by N K Vistora, an Indian national, he had put the briefcase on a table of the restaurant. “After having launch, I went to toilet. When I returned, I didn’t find my briefcase,” Vistora wrote in the complaint. Police said that investigation is underway to identify and nab the culprit.
