KATHMANDU: The talks held between the three-party talks team and the Tarai Madhesh Democratic Party leaders concluded on a positive note on Tuesday evening.

Nepali Congress leader and Minister for Forests and Soil Conservation Mahesh Acharya, CPN-UML Chief Whip Agni Kharel and UCPN-Maoist Vice-Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha held talks with TMDP leaders at TMDP Chairmain Mahantha Thakur's residence in Sanothimi.

After the talks, leader Acharya said today's discussions were held based on the views of the top leaders of the three major parties.

Stating the talks today were positive, he said negotiations would be held with TMDP on Wednesday also.

According to Thakur, informal discussions today had been positive and the time for formal talks would be determined on Wednesday.

He added that United Democratic Madhesi Front planned to continue ahead with the talks and consultations as well as the movement until an agreement was reached.
