Three theft cases reported in Capital

KATHMANDU: Police on Monday reported three cases of theft from assorted locations of Kathmandu Valley on Sunday.

According to police, an unidentified gang broke into an unattended house of Krishna Prasad Nepal at Katunje in Suryabinayak Municipality-5 of Bhaktapur district and reportedly made off with property worth around Rs 483,000.

In a separate incident in Chugathali of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-7, an unidentified gang broke into an unattended house belonging to Rajendra Kunwar and decamped with gold and silver jewellery worth around Rs 108,000.

Similarly, property worth  around Rs 150,000 including a laptop, a mobile set, were reportedly stolen from a rented room of Dipesh Shrestha in Bafal Gwarko of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-17 last night.

The belongings of Shrestha, who hails from Sindhupalchok district, were stolen while he was sleeping in his  room, said police.

Meanwhile, the investigation into the cases are underway, said police.
