Three thefts reported from Valley on Saturday
KATHMANDU: Police on Sunday said three cases of thefts were reported from assorted locations of Kathmandu Valley on Saturday.
Property worth Rs 600,000 including nine tola gold jewellery and a laptop was stolen from the rented residence of Pankaj Bonem in Bainsepati, Karyabinayak Municipality-2 of Lalitpur district yesterday, police said.
The apartment was unattended while the thieves targeted it, informed police.
In another case, a gold chain and a bangle, collectively worth Rs 150,000, were stolen from the house of Buddha Ratna Dangol in Naxal Bhagawati Bahal, KMC-1, police said.
Yet in the third similar incident, a gang of thieves targeted the rented room of Mithun Paidawar in Kirtipur-9 of Kathmandu while it was unattended yesterday and made off with two laptops and a gas stove, collectively worth Rs 102,000.
Local police stations are investigating into all the cases and have launched manhunts to nab the suspects.
