Three thefts reported on Thursday

KATHMANDU: Police said three incidents of theft were reported from various parts of Kathmandu Valley on Thursday.

Property worth Rs 142,000 including a camera, gold ornaments and cash, was stolen from the rented room of Puja Sharma and Bhuma Acharya in Maitrinagar, Kirtipur-2, police said.

In another case, unidentified thieves barged into the room of Palsang Tamang and Yuddha Tamang in Banasthali, KMC-16 and decamped with property worth Rs 177,000 including Rs 50,000 cash and jewelleries, police said.

Yet, the house of Durga Humagain in Nayabasti, Mahalaxmi Municipality-16 of Lalitpur district, was burgled, according to police.

The suspects made off with valuables worth Rs 173,000 including cash and gold and silver ornaments, police added.

While looking for the absconding suspects, police have launched investigations into the cases.
