Three thefts reported in Valley

KATHMANDU: Police on Monday said that three cases of theft were reported in the Kathmandu Valley.

Police said that thieves stole a two-tola gold chain worth around Rs 100,000 from Tenzing Lama's house in Dandagaun of Arubari, on the north-eastern outskirts of Kathmandu, on Sunday.

Also, it was reported that thieves broke into an unattended house of Subha Laxmi Lama in Bhangal, Budhanilakantha Municipality on Sunday. They broke into the house from the window and got away with Rs 4,000 cash and a tilahari (gold necklace) worth Rs 25,000 placed inside a cupboard.

Similarly, property worth around Rs 746,000 was stolen from a rented room of Narayan Bahadur Shrestha, in Sallaghari of Bhaktapur. Shrestha reported that thieves broke into the room from the front door and stole cash Rs 520,000 and various gold ornaments, on Monday.

Police said they are searching for the suspects involved in all three cases.
