KATHMANDU: Police said a three-year-old child was found dead in his "cousin"'s rented room in Tarakeshwor Municipality-9 of Kathmandu on Sunday.

Aayush Tamang was found dead in the room of Binu Tamang, a permanent resident of Shikharapur-3, Makawanpur.

Meanwhile, a 42-year-old woman was found dead in Sitapaila, Nagarjun-4 of Kathmandu on Sunday.

Laxmi Bista (42), a permanent resident of Aagra-1 of Makawanpur, was living in a rented room at local Sristi Colony here.

Meanwhile, police detained the deceased's husband Raj Kumar Bista for further investigation as there were some scars were found on her body.
