Tibetans in Valley mark Uprising Day

Kathmandu, March 10:
About 1,000 Tibetans gathered near the Bouddha stupa today to mark the Uprising Day.
An official of the Tibetan Refugee Welfare Centre said they decided to gather in a “religious function” on their own as the government didn’t want any “anti-China activities” taking place in Nepal. On March 10, 1959, Tibetans launched a movement against the hinese “occupation” of Tibet. Tibetans throughout the world celebrate March 10 as the Uprising Day.
