TIO assistance to tourism project
KATHMANDU: Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology on Wednesday handed over a cheque worth Rs 20 million, the first installment of the pledged amount, to Pilachhen Reconstruction and Tourism Promotion Project amid a function held in Lalitpur. TIO has pledged to contribute Rs 40 million to the project for the recovery of Pilachhen damaged by the April 25 earthquake. TIO chairman Suhrid Ghimire handed over the cheque to project coordinator Ramesh Maharjan. Senior ophthalmologist and executive director of TIO Dr Sanduk Ruit and former vice-chairman of National Planning Commission Govinda Raj Pokharel said they would carry forward the Pilachhen reconstruction as a model project.
