TJSC, govt pact ends protest

KATHMANDU: The meeting between the government and the Tamsaling Joint Struggle Committee (TJSC) which started at 9 am on Tuesday at Singha Durbar ended positively with a 8-point agreement. The meeting was called to plan the implementation procedure for executing the previously approved 19-point agreement signed between the two parties.Establishment of Swayambhu Namobuddha Committee, inclusion of Tamangs in the Nepal Army, implementation of Tamasaling Model Development Programme, treatment for the members of the committee injured during the protests are some of the issues negotiated in the agreement.

Peace and Reconciliation Minister Rakam Chemjong and Parshuram Tamang, Tamsaling, Joint Struggle Committee, made the announcement in a joint press conference and the committee has announced the end of their protest programme.
