Trader held for black marketing
KATHMANDU: Police on Saturday arrested a trader for allegedly overcharging customers for liquefied petroleum (cooking) gas.
Madan Thapa Magar (30), a resident near Police Checkpost in Thankot of Kathmandu, was arrested by a team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot.
Magar is accused of selling a gas cylinder for Rs 5,000, of which the market price was Rs 3,800 only.
Police also confiscated eight gas cylinders from him.
Further investigation is underway.
