Transport workers’ meet

BHAKTAPUR:

Minister for Labour and Transport Management, Ramesh Lekhak, has said that a high-level commission on transport development has been constituted for the protection of rights of transport entrepreneurs and the development of transport sector.

He told this while inaugurating the sixth conference of the Bhaktapur Minibus Service Committee. Lekhak also informed that the commission will start work before Dashain festival. He called on all transport entrepreneurs to set reservation for women in transport sector.

Speaking on the occasion, chairman of the Nepal National Transport Entrepreneurs’ Federation, Yogendra Karmacharya, said that the government should ensure rights of transport entrepreneurs while providing security to drivers and their vehicles.
