KATHMANDU: A child, who was critically injured after a truck hit him at Piplamode of Chandragiri Municipality-3, died during the course of treatment at the Kanti Children's Hospital in Maharagunj.

Police said that four-year-old Pradesh Tamang of the same locality died after the truck (Na 4 Kha 8107) hit him while crossing the road.

Police said that they have impounded the truck and arrested its driver for investigation.

Further investigation into the incident is underway, police informed.
