Two held for hoarding goods for black marketing

KATHMANDU: Police on Thursday arrested two employees of a lentil factory for their alleged involvement in black marketing of various food products.

Accountant Shashikant Yadav (34), a permanent resident of Malangawa-1 of Sarlahi district, and another staffer Ranjit Prasad (30) from India, working at Kuleshwor-based Dhanlaxmi Dal Mill Pvt Ltd, were arrested by a team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Kalimati.

Police said they did not supply the products to the market, but hoarded them with an intention to sell them in the black market.

Police, meanwhile, seized various food products from the factory's godown.

Further investigation is underway.
