Two held for trading bootlegged liquor

KATHMANDU: Police arrested two persons on charge of illegally trading home-brewed liquor, from Ganabahal of the Capital.

Police also confiscated 135 litre bootleg alcohol from them.

The suspects have been identified as Purna Dong (52) from Dhuseni-5 of Kavrepalanchok district and Sainla Tamang (41) from Shyampati-5 of the same district.

A team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Janasewa, had nabbed them from Ganabahal, KMC-21 on Sunday.

In another case, police seized and destroyed around 400 litre illegal liquor and around 800 litre raw alcohol in Tokha Municipality-13 of Kathmandu yesterday.

The alcohols were found at the rented room of Dina Magar (39), a permanent resident of Myagdi.
