Two killed, three hurt in Valley road mishaps

Kathmandu, September 3:

Two persons were killed and other three were injured in four different road accidents in the valley today. The Valley Police said, Ram Pandit, 28, was killed when a motorcycle with plate number Ba 15 Pa 5783 hit him at Balkumari of Lalitpur this afternoon. Pandit was declared upon arrival at the Patan Hospital. Pandit hailed from Accham district. In another case, a 63 year old woman was killed when a motorcycle hit her at Ganeshtan Marga early in the morning today.

The woman fell down into the Bagmati river and was found dead later when people retrieved her body from the river. The woman is yet to be identified. Police took the motor cycle driver Ram Bhupal Shrestha and the motorcycle with plate number Ba 14 Pa 5432 under control.

Leela Devi, 45, and Dilip Shahi, 30, were injured when a microbus hit them at Jadibuti cross roads this afternoon. Police said the two persons were crossing the road when the mircobus hit them. They are undergoing treatment at Patan Hospital. Leela Devi’s condition is critical.

Arjun Sigdel, a student of Nepal Commerce campus, was injured when a motor cycle with plate number Ba 12 Pa 4321 hit him at Putalisadak this afternoon.
