KATHMANDU: Police recently arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in defrauding various women assuring them of marriages and lucrative jobs abroad.

Abhishek KC (37) from Shaniarjun-1 of Jhapa and Rabin KC (35) from Phalaincha-4 of Panchthar were arrested from Balaju of Kathmandu on December 22.

A team deployed from the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police had nabbed them.

Police said the duo had inflicted financial and physical exploitations on the victims.

They even used the victims' SIM cards to defraud others, according to police.

Meanwhile, police filed a fraud case against them at the Kathmandu District Court and received a remand for further investigation.
