Two theft cases reported from assorted locations in Valley

KATHMANDU: Police reported two cases of theft from assorted locations in the Kathmandu Valley on Sunday.

Unidentified thieves struck the rented room of Lokendra Raut (40), a local of Ramechhap at Kumaristhan, Balaju, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16, and reportedly decamped with gold jewellery worth Rs 150,000.

In another similar incident at Dhobighat of Lalitpur, the thieves barged into the rented room of Ishwor Shrestha and made off with Rs 19,000 and USD 50, Indian Rs 2,600 and gold and silver ornaments.

Police said the haul was collectively worth Rs 125,320.

Meanwhile, police said they are searching for the absconding thieves and are investing further into the cases.
