KATHMANDU: Police on Saturday reported two cases of theft in Kathmandu Valley.

Property worth Rs 224,000 was stolen from the rented room of Kumar Shrestha, a permanent resident of Kumari in Nuwakot district, in Naya Bazaar, KMC-16.

The stolen items include gold ornaments.

In another case, cash and gold jewellery, collectively worth Rs 402,000, were stolen from the house of Ramesh Bhandari at Tikathali Kharibot in Mahalaxmi Municipality-10 of Lalitpur.

While looking for the suspects, police are investigating into both the cases.
