KATHMANDU: Two cases of theft have been reported in Lalitpur district on Monday.

Property worth Rs 130,000 was stolen from a rented room in Bagalamukhi, Lalitpur-22 on Monday.

Valuables including gold earrings and chain collectively weighing 1.5 tola and Rs 65,000 cash were stolen from a rented room belonging to Ambika Thapa.

Similarly, property worth Rs 85,000 including a one-tola gold chain and Rs 35,000 cash belonging to Sanu Maharjan and valuables worth Rs 145,000 including Rs 10,000 cash and two gold rings belonging to Suman Timilsina were stolen from an unattended rented room at Khapinche of Lalitpur-9 on Monday.

Further investigation is underway, said police.
