Two youngsters found dead in Kirtipur

Kathmandu, May 20:

Twenty-four year old Pukar Sigdel and 21-year old Prabina Dhungana were found shot dead in Kirtipur at a distance of two kilometres today.

Police said Sigdel was found at Tyanglaphat near the Tribhuvan University compound with a bullet injury on his temple and was later declared dead on arrival at the Bir Hospital.

Police seized a pistol, 3 live and a used cartridge from the spot where Sigdel was found. Police seized a photo of a group of three girls including Dhungana. “Sigdel’s parents said he had recently returned to Kathmandu after completing a hotel management course from Singapore and was going to attend an interview for Canadian visa tomorrow,” police said.

Police found Dhungana’s body at Chobhar hill. Dhungana was married on May 7. Dhungana’s body was found at around 1:45 pm, 15 minutes after Sigdel’s was found at Tyanglaphat.
