KATHMANDU: Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Nepal Saeed Hamdan Mohammad Al Naqbi met Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the latter’s official residence, in Kathmandu, on Monday.

According to a statement released by the PM's Secretariat, Naqbi wished PM Dahal for the latter's successful tenure and discussed the bilateral relationship between the two countries.

PM Dahal, in response, acknowledged the Ambassador for the support UAE had provided to Nepal in the time of need. Dahal stressed that the relationship would strengthen more in the future.

Dahal informed Naqbi regarding recent developments in the issues of peace process, post-earthquake reconstruction works, good governance and economic prosperity in the meeting, the statement read.

Dahal, meanwhile, hoped that he would work to arrange a high-level meeting between the two nations on cooperation for economic prosperity and development.
