Ultrasound meet concludes

A two-day workshop jointly organised by Ian Donald Inter-University of Medical Ultrasound and Om Hospital and Research Centre on ultrasound concluded in the capital today.

More than 200 obstetrics and gynecologists and radiologists participated in the workshop. In the programme, consultant gynecologist and director of India branch of Ian Donald Inter-University of Medical Ultrasound Dr Narendra Malhotra, director of Thailand branch Dr Tuansit Baagonara and director of Nepal branch and consultant radiologist Dr Hari Kishor Shrestha and Dr Monish Shah imparted training to participants on the use of x-ray, ultrasound and MRI.

During the programme, Dr Hari Kishor Shrestha, director of Ian Donald Inter-University of Medical Ultrasound Nepal branch and executive director of Om Hospital gave presentation on the importance of modern ultrasound and informed that the study related to ultrasound has been started in Nepal by establishing a branch. Gynaecologists put their various queries related to modern technology related to radiology.

Finally, certificates were distributed to the participants. Dr Deepak Mudvari of Om Hospital, director of Maternity Hospital Dr Jageshwar Gautam, senior Obstetrics and gynaecologist Dr Lata Bajracharya and Dr Ashma Rana, radiologist Dr Shiva Basnet, Dr Ram Kumar Ghimire, among others, attended the programme.
