UML leader Nepal hospitalised

KATHMANDU: Former prime minister and senior CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal was hospitalised on Monday evening after he felt uneasy due to high blood pressure. According to his personal assistant Mohan Gautam, Nepal underwent primary health check-up at the Parliament after he felt uneasy at around 3pm. Later he was taken to Bir Hospital’s Trauma Center for further check-up. Doctors including Bhupendra Basnet, Ganesh Gurung and Harihar Khanal have been attending Nepal. His health is normal now, Dr Gautam said.

Free health camps

KATHMANDU: Rotary Club of Bhadgaon and Liver Foundation Nepal are set to jointly organise health camps in quake-affected districts to raise awareness on causes, preventive measure and treatment of Hepatitis B and C. At a press meet organised in Kathmandu on Monday, they informed health camps and the awareness raising programmes would be conducted in mid-August.
