'UML in loss if it doesn't let Dahal become PM'
KATHMANDU: Minister for Agriculture and CPN Maoist Centre leader Haribol Gajurel warned that the CPN-UML would face a loss if it did not implement the past agreement inked with his party to let Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal to lead the government.
According to him, the Maoist party had reached a gentlemen's agreement with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, also the UML Chairman, to hand over the power to Dahal after endorsement of the budget.
"Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had pledged to hand over the reins to Dahal after the endorsement of budget and also agreed to take initiates for the formation of a consensus government," he said.
"We have an example that the Nepali Congress had faced a loss after it did not implement the past agreements," Minister Gajurel said while speaking at an interaction organised at the Reporters' Club in the Capital on Tuesday.
