Kathmandu, April 11:

A meeting of six district committees under the Valley Coordination Committee of the CPN-UML today reviewed the joint movement of the five agitating parties launched against the February 1 royal move. Members of the Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur district committees, professional, labour and students’ organisations took part in the review, which concluded that “the situation has gradually changed in favour of the movement.” “The five agitating parties need to formulate a common demand and the parties should conduct self-evaluation of the past so that they can reach out to the people,” said a press statement issued by the CPN-UML Valley Coordination Committee. The meeting was addressed by the Valley in-charge, Surendra Pandey, member of the central movement mobilisation committee Shankar Pokharel and secretary of the Valley Coordination Committee Yogesh Bhattarai.
