KATHMANDU: A person died after he was rammed by a vehicle in Shantinagar of KMC-35 on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as Bishal Timilsina (24) of Chisapani of Makawanpur district.

The vehicle (Ba 7 Cha 6207) knocked Timilsina while he was walking on the road in front of the Shantinagar Gate at around 11:00 pm last night, critically injuring him, according to the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division.

Timilsina was rushed to the Mahankal-based National Trauma Centre where he succumbed to his injuries during the course of treatment, informed MTPD.

Meanwhile, police have impounded the vehicle and detained the driver for further investigation, said police.
