Vice President Pun attends India's Republic Day celebration

KATHMANDU: Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun graced the welcome programme organised here on the occasion of India's 67th Republic Day, on Tuesday.

The event organised by the Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae was attended by former and current members of Council of Ministers, former Vice-President, former Prime Ministers, high-ranking leaders of the major political parties and parliamentarians.

The chiefs of constitutional bodies, dignitaries and representatives of the diplomatic missions in Kathmandu and high level officials in government also marked their presence in the event.

The representatives of the civil society, business community, artistes and media were also present in the Republic Day celebration.

The celebration programme comprised of musical performances, including patriotic songs.
