KATHMANDU: The Nationwide Vitamin ‘A’ campaign held every year in the second week of April is being held in the first week of March this year.

The Vitamin ‘A’ programme is being preponed as the government is carrying out a micronutrient survey from the second week of March.

Vitamin A capsules and deworming tablets will be administered to children on March 3 and 4, according to Chief of the Child Health Division, Nutrition Unit Giri Raj Subedi.

The micronutrient survey is taking place in the country after a span of 18 years, said survey coordinator Dr Rajindra BC.
