KATHMANDU: With an aim to provide safe drinking water to consumers with low income, UN-HABITAT, Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited, District Development Committee-Kathmandu, and two Village Development Committees in Tokha are jointly launching a project called the Integrated Water Supply System for Urban Poor Communities.

The project aims to collect 350,000 liters of water daily from three rivers and supply it to the locals of Tokha Chandeshwori and Tokha Saraswoti VDCs.

The project will also construct a scientific water purification system.
