Weather to remain cloudy for a few more days

KATHMANDU: Weather has been partly to generally cloudy in some places of the country due to influence of low pressure system developed in northern Bangladesh and surrounding areas.

Senior meteorologist at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Nirajan Sapkota, shared that a completely clear weather is still a few more days away despite there being less chances of rainfall in this duration.

The winter rainfall has not occured so far this year as it was recorded in December last year. Usually, 3.5 per cent rainfall takes place from mid-November to mid February.

As of now, the sky in hilly areas of Province 1, Bagmati Province and Gandaki Province is partly to generally cloudy while most of the areas of Tarai are experiencing thick fog.

It is expected that weather of other remaining areas would remain generally clear during night.

According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, Kathmandu Valley recorded minimum temperature of 8.8 degree Celsius while the maximum temperature is 19.5.
