KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a woman on the charge of defrauding a man from Ratna Park in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

The arrestee has been identified as Susmita Pokharel (35) of Nawalpur in Sindhupalchok district, currently residing in Kuleshwor, Kathmandu.

Pokharel had defrauded Ekka Bahadur Damai (33) of Kathjor-1, Ramechhap, by giving him fake US dollar notes in exchange of Rs 4 million in Changunarayan Municipality of Bhaktapur, in June 2016, said police.

Police are investigating into the case.
