KATHMANDU: Hard cash and valuables worth around Rs 160,000 were stolen from a brick kiln worker's shanty in Tathali of Bhaktapur district.

Rs 100,000 in cash, a laptop and three mobile phone sets, belonging to Gopal Mananadhar, were stolen from the premises of SK Brick Kiln yesterday, police said.

Manandhar hails from Pakarbas, Ramechhap and has currently been residing in Tathali.

Police said they are looking into the case and searching for those involved in the theft.
