Writer Nakul Silwal commits suicide

KATHMANDU: Litterateur Nakul Silwal committed suicide today. He was 53.

Silwal, injured after trying to kill himself at his home in Shantinagar in New Baneshwor, breathed his last on the way to the hospital, police said.

Born in Selang VDC in Sindhupalchok, Silwal has written many stories, essays, novels and poems.

He was also editor of Nepali literary magazines 'Bagar' and 'Nadi'.

He is survived by his wife and two sons.
