YAN submits 35-point memo to Minister Mandal

KATHMANDU: A delegation of CPN-UML-affiliated youth wing, Youth Association Nepal (YAN), today met Minister for Youth and Sports Satya Narayan Mandal and submitted a 35-point memorandum in the Capital today.

The memorandum demands establishment of a sports university in the nation and a football ground in each electoral constituency, providing unemployment allowance and creating an employment opportunity to each youth.

Other demands include participation of youth in productive areas, representation of youth in every state organs based on their population and proper implementation of fundamental rights of youth to education, health and employment among others.

In response, Minister Mandal pledged that he would do his best to address demands of the youth.

Led by YAN Chairman Rajib Pahari, the delegation included Dil Kumari Panta, Ramesh Paudel, Bachan Bahadur Singh, Parshuram Basnet, Rajesh Shah and Prabhat Bikram Katuwal, among others.
