Yarsa robbers held

KATHMANDU: Four persons were arrested for their alleged involvement in robbing a man of four kg yarsagumba.

Lal Bahadur Shrestha from Marku-7 of Dolakha district was reportedly robbed of the prized medicinal herb by seven persons who claimed themselves to be cops, on July 16.

But, police on Monday said four of the robbers were caught on Saturday.

The arrestees include Bikas Rokaya (25) from Paink-5 of Jajarkot, Santosh Salami Magar (27) from Dagatungdanda-1 of Baglung, Makar Agreja Magar (27) from Khunga-6 of Baglung and Nirmal Salami Magar (26) from Wasilchaur-1 of Baglung were held from Nakhkhu of Lalitpur and Gongabu of Kathmandu two days ago.

Police also claimed that they confiscated the robbed yarsagumba also.

Police said they are searching for other absconding suspects.

Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Police Crime Division, which nabbed the suspects, handed them over to the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, for further investigations and actions.
