Yeti Airlines adds new aircraft to its fleet

Kathmandu, June 18 :

Yeti Airlines has added a new aircraft ‘Jetstream 41’ to its fleet to provide quality service to air passengers. The airlines expects to bring the aircraft into operation within two weeks.

“We have added the new 29-seater aircraft from British Aerospace, UK, with an aim to increase the flight frequency and to provide more choice to air passengers,” said Bijay Shrestha, general manager, of Yeti Airlines. The aircraft will fly to trunk routes such as Biratnagar, Pokhara and also for “Everest sightseeing”.

The airlines has a total of four twin otters and two Jetstream 41 and it also plans to add more aircraft in the coming months. The new aircraft, according to the airline, is air-conditioned and equipped with better and latest facilities. The airline claims that Jetsream 41 is the only aircraft in Nepal to have the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS), which is very well suited to fly in the mountainous regions of Nepal.
