Youth found dead

Kathmandu, March 11:

A murdered body was found at Jadibuti on the banks of Manohara stream this morning. The body was later identified as Uddhab Parajuli, 30, police said.

According to the police, investigations revealed that Parajuli was returning to Pepsi Cola from Thimi along with his two friends after having alcohol there.

“There were three persons on a motorcycle when they returned from Thimi,” Dipak Katuwal, sub-inspector at the Koteshwor Area Police Office, said, adding not a single wound was seen in Parajuli’s body.

“We are investigating whether he died or was murdered,” Katuwal said. Parajuli’s body was sent to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, for forensic test.

Police have taken two persons, who were with Parajuli on the motorcycle when they left Thimi, into custody. Police are yet to interrogate them.

Meanwhile, a body was found at Tilganga. A patrolling team of policemen from Gaushala Ward Police Office found the body lying on the side of the road. “It seems that the man died of excessive intake of alcohol,” police said.

The man had vomited blood on the spot and there was no sign of bruises in his body. Investigations are underway, police said.
