KATHMANDU: A special squad despatched from Metropolitan Police Sector Bouddha on Wednesday apprehended Bikram Karki (21), hailing from Dhuskun VDC-3 in Sindhupalchowk, for his alleged involvement in murdering Mangal BK.

SP Ganesh KC, in charge of Metropolitan Police Range Hanumandhoka, said Karki was held acting on a tip off. "Bouddha police succeeded in nabbing an absconding suspect. An investigation into the case is in progress," he informed. Karki allegedly stoned the 45-year-old to death from behind, on a Mahankal road on October 24. Bikram also robbed the victim of a mobile phone set as well as Rs 700 in cash.
