Youth held in possession of pharmaceutical drugs, cash

KATHMANDU: Police on Friday said that they have arrested a man in possession of a cache of controlled drugs from Kathmandu.

The detainee has been identified as 26-year-old Yadav Thapa, a permanent resident of Batase-2 in Sindhupalchok district.

Police said Thapa was arrested from Tamsipakha, KMC-18 in the Capital with several pharmaceutical drugs including diazepam, brufen and phenargan; and Rs 23,000 cash on Thursday.

Further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
