Yunus Social Business Centre established in Capital

KATHMANDU: The King's College on Tuesday established the Yunus Social Business Centre (YSBC) after it signed a new deal with the Yunus Centre in Dhaka of Bangladesh.

The YSBC was established with a vision to alleviate poverty with mutual understanding and cooperation, a statement released by the College said.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was jointly signed by Director of the College, Narottam Aryal, and Nobel Laureate and Chairman of the Yunus Centre, Prof Dr Mohammad Yunus, on behalf of their respective organisations.

The YSBC would organise programmes including student and faculty exchange programmes, economic development for the poor in developing countries, social business action programmes, researches, social business design labs, conferences, academic workshops, exposure visits, internships and scholarship programmes, the College said.
